The St. Vincent de Paul Society needs gifts of food for its pantry. They give this food to the poor. You can bring your gifts of non-perishable food to the Church anytime and put it in the box on the west side of the Gathering Space. Items that are especially needed at this time are: canned fruit, jelly, soups, jello, pudding, canned meats, crackers, cake mixes, box dinners (hamburger, chicken, and tuna helper). We have received many calls for help recently and members of St. Vincent de Paul make an effort to determine their needs and respond with the resources that are available. They also can use gifts of money, which can be placed in the wooden box in the Church, labeled “Gifts for the Poor”, which is just west of the main doors to the Church. The generosity between Thanksgiving and Christmas and during Lent is great, but we need to remember that the need continues year around. |
